Variations on a ThemeA great way to improve on your marketing is to study your competitors. Let's face it, there are very few original ideas, just variations on a theme. Take good ideas and improve on them. Often you might find things you don't like, too. Go to competitors' websites and find out what they are doing that works, and, more importantly, what doesn't!
Protect yourself from data lossIt only takes one episode of losing all your data, contacts, or emails to remind you of this. Don't let it take a disaster to remind you! Backup regularly and often. You can use removable hard disks, such as Maxtor, which have a one-click backup, or an online backup system like Carbonite.
Focus on finishingAll of us multi-task. Time is much more efficiently used if you can focus on one thing and get it done, rather than trying to do 10 things at a time. This is going to be a hard one! But if you try, at least for part of your day and some of your projects, to just concentrate on finishing ONE thing.
